Khyree Woody caught a pair of touchdowns and had a long kickoff return to set up another as McKinley won at Mollenkopf Stadium to open the season.
Woody returned the opening kickoff 91 yards to set up Alijah Curtis’ 1-yard TD run and a 6-0 McKinley lead. He later grabbed TD passes of 67 and 20 yards from Curtis as the Bulldogs led 28-0 at halftime.
Curtis completed 12 of 18 passes for 186 yards. Jalen Ross made seven receptions for 75 yards for the Bulldogs. He also snagged a 2-point conversion pass.
Harding’s Kay’Ron Adams ran for 172 yards on 29 carries.

McKinley scored twice in the final eight minutes to break a tie and pull away for a Federal League road win on Friday night.

After Green’s Kage Williams tied the game at 20-20 on a 7-yard TD run with 8:32 left in the fourth, McKinley answered less than a minute later with a 1-yard Lameir Garrett TD run to regain the lead. Alijah Curtis had hit Khyree Woody moments earlier on a 40-yard pass to set up Garrett’s score.
Curtis hit Woody on a 6-yard TD pass later in the quarter to give McKinley (4-0) — ranked No. 10 in the state’s Division I poll — some cushion.
Curtis completed 17 of 20 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns. He added a pair of rushing TDs.
Woody caught nine passes for 105 yards and the TD. Jalen Ross added six receptions for 81 yards and a score.
Garrett carried 16 times for 145 yards and a touchdown.
Williams completed 16 of 34 passes for 181 yards and a TD for Green (0-4). He added 56 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Jacob Gonzalez caught six passes for 80 yards.
Brian Pinkney led the McKinley defense with 10 tackles and a sack. TG Dillworth intercepted a Williams pass.

Lameir Garrett rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns to lift McKinley past Hoover at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
The Bulldogs outscored the Vikings 26-7 in the second half on a night that saw both teams combined for 1,000 total yards. McKinley finished with 521 yards, while Hoover ended up with 428.
McKinley quarterback Alijah Curtis was an efficient 12-of-14 passing for 241 yards and a touchdown. Khyree Woody caught the touchdown pass and finished with five catches for 120 yards. He also ran for a TD.
Hoover’s Connor Ashby threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for a TD. Adam Griguolo was the Vikings’ leading rusher with 156 yards.

Khyree Woody caught eight passes for a school-record 207 yards and one touchdown. Alijah Curtis completed 13 of 21 passes for 257 yards, two TDs and his first interception of the season while also rushing for 96 yards on 10 carries.
Lameir Garrett ran for 120 yards and three TDs on 23 carries.
Daimere Benison returned a blocked punt nine yards for a score and Brian Pinkney returned an interception 31 yards for a TD for the Bulldogs.

Lameir Garrett and Alijah Curtis ran for two touchdowns each to lead McKinley to a victory over Solon on the road in a Division I, Region 1 quarterfinal on Friday.
