GlenOak TransfersI hear GlenOak got 9 transfers from other Stark County schools. I have been told that they were welcomed on GlenOak's TV station. There are 3 from McKinley, 3 from Massillon, 1 from Hoover, 1 From Alliance (told it was Dunn's cousin) and I don't know where the other 1 came from.

Re: GlenOak TransfersHi, first time on the form. I am an old bulldog. Have a question to ask? I heard that 3 football players has transfered to Canton South. It this true or a rumor? One I heard is suppose to be a baseball pitcher. GO PUPS
Whoever put a picture of a jeep on here as my avatar, I think it is pretty cool. I am not good at to do anything like that on the computer. I would like to pm you with more information why I call myself jeeper. Last edited by jeeper on Sun Mar 25, 2012 8:54 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: GlenOak TransfersDJ Wilson left, great football player, but even better baseball player probably one of the fastest in Stark county. This was a bad loss for Mckinley. Not sure of others. I know of at least one more leaving that will hurt Mckinley also.
Re: GlenOak Transfers
he left because eric glover was freshman of the year ..if that be the case did we really want or need that attitude on the team...we replace and reload
Re: GlenOak Transfers
Did you hear this directly from the player or his family or are you just assuming it?
Re: GlenOak TransfersThere are three area schools going after several of our players,it's getting worse every year.
Re: GlenOak TransfersI think our tranfer's want to leave for one reason or another, lots of good one's left..RELOAD...GO PUPS!
Re: GlenOak Transfers
WRONG!!!
Re: GlenOak Transfers
so you talked to his dad? i did so how wrong was i
Re: GlenOak TransfersI just had lunch with his dad, him leaving had nothing to do with him not getting Freshman of the year! DJ did get Rookie of the year, wich is the award for Freshman of the year! So were are you getting your facts from, I thought you said you want the truth to be known, but you just stated a lie!!! And this is a fact that I'm stating!!
Re: GlenOak Transfers
you miss the point of what ive tried to say without starting something on here....i do not lie nor will i ever ! the truth of the matter was he was not happy with the playing time his son didnt get on varsity under coach johnson! he felt that his son should have been on varsity just like the other one did...at least returning punst or something ...so he felt he wasted his time coming to mckinley and he just said that he would be better off sticking with baseball...now what are your truths about him leaving? since we got to know the truth.... since you just had lunch with him....
Re: GlenOak Transfers
and you stating that i lied on here is just as bad as your comprehension skills in reading! where did i lie in my statement (IF THAT BE THE CASE)
Re: GlenOak Transfersblah blah blah who fricken cares kids have been transfering out of mckinley for years hey u want to be a loser well thats between them and there family as for me i only care about the winners we have at mckinley.
If you dont know you better ask somebody.
Re: GlenOak Transfersexactly replace reload as i said thank you!
Re: GlenOak Transfers
Am I going to fast for you? you said "he left because eric glover was freshman of the year" so tell me were is the truth in that! and as for why he left yea I do know why, but I'm not going to throw anyone under the bus! and your statement..if that be the case did we really want or need that attitude on the team! oh yea we wanted him, this is one of the nicest kids I've ever know, and his coaches and teachers will say the same. They are glad he is back at Canton South!
Re: GlenOak Transfers
That sounds good to me too...let them go and a fine welcome to those that come aboard...GO PUPS!

Re: GlenOak TransfersDouble talk read your own post you were talking about the kid.
Re: GlenOak TransfersHow is a kid's transfer any of our business???? Unless it directly effects anyone here personally then I suggest dropping the subject, because all it does is create more conflict. And that's something we could certainly use less of around here as of late. I think it's time people quit looking for **** to bitch about and focus on the positives. We have A LOT of kids coming back and a VERY talented group of Sophomores and Freshmen coming up. We're right around the corner from it being that time again and the last thing the new coach and these young men needs, is to keep beating a dead horse with the same ole b.s that perpetually recycles throughout the community and message forums as well as the stands. Here's a thought maybe if we put as much emphasis into being positive AND supportive to the coaches AND the athletes we would 1.) Gain a little respect from rival fan bases and opponents, 2.) Gain a little respect for ourselves, 3.) Start to restore the once great pride and tradition of success that Canton McKinley is known for.
I'm greatly disappointed in everyone in the Bulldog Nation including myself. We have systematically self destructed from the inside out because everyone has developed a selfish "all about me" attitude that has spawned into rival sides within the Bulldog fan base. Now recently race has been thrown into the mix and the situation has become dire. Everyone keeps saying it's all about whats best for the kids but what any of us fails to realize is, our actions and words are heard and seen by these young men and women. Is this what we want to teach these kids? That name calling, mud slinging, dirt digging, lawsuits and petty arguing is the way to solve problems? I think it's time we ALL got our sh*t together folks these kids deserve a hell of a lot better than we've all given them over the past couple years. There isn't anyone clean in any of this we've all had a hand in the mess that has come to be. As for people still kicking the Ron Johnson situation, I think it's time to let go of that, he was dismissed in a sh*ty manner but it's up to Ron and his attorneys to do what's right for Ron. As for the B.O.E they still need to be held accountable for bungling not just the Ron Johnson situation but many many other things as well. Some of you may be happy with how the board has operated but there are many folks myself included who think they have mishandled things for way too long. Ron Johnson's coaching contract incident was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back for many. I think there has been no accountability for poor decisions and improper practices on the part of the B.O.E and THAT is what many people want changed. I think it would do the district good to have some fresh new faces in those seats, but it has to be people who aren't propelled by personal agendas. Now is the time for ALL of us to come together here it's easy to say but I think if you aren't willing to put forth the effort to get along and be supportive offer positive input and viable solutions to issues that arise, regardless of personal opinion then you don't have the right to complain when bad stuff happens. Let's get our sh*t together people please! Samuel E Altimore IV Class of 1995

Re: GlenOak Transfers
Well said! The past week or so, I have sat back and read posts both here and on Yappi. I've seen, over and over again, people say something like "who cares about how the BOE handled things, they got the right coach and it's time to move on and support the team." Statements like that assume that it's not possible to both care about how the BOE handled things and to support the team. The statements also leave me wondering how many diehard McKinley football fans there are that care a lot about winning and not at all about the quality of the school district. Football is a sport....it provides wonderful opportunities for the kids....but (IMO) it should never be more important than the academic environment that the BOE and system administration is responsible for establishing and maintaining. They are two very separate issues that far too many want to see as one in the same. Over and over and over again, I've seen the phrase "we have to do what's best for the kids." I agree. As such, we have to separate these two issues and commit to both.....support the new coach and the team, while also taking action to assure that the BOE and system administration operate more efficiently and effectively. Failure to address both issues will, within five years, result in the same turmoil that the program just endured. And, each time it happens, damages the program and the district that much more. The Canton City Schools Legacy & Destiny Foundation was established to address the functionality of the system, to be a resource to the community, and to help develop student leadership. I urge those of you who care about more than McKinley football to get involved in the Foundation in addition to supporting the program. The city of Canton is facing an uphill battle. Since McKinley is a part of the city, it too, is fighting an uphill battle. Replacing coaches every 4-5 years without working to improve the system will not only hurt the football program, it will weaken the district. Failure to address both, will result in both being damaged! Who cares enough to get involved?
Re: GlenOak Transferssloanchile cares......................................................... about W's baby!!!
Re: GlenOak Transfersi am mr .dobalina mr don bobalina -- posters like sloanchile give post boards a bad name --i was told mr chile was expelled for good ..that was a good decision .... just like at the BOE level now and other areas --coaching ,parents etc... slowly weed out the ones who are not committed and rebuild the infrastructure and Mck will REIGN again --mr bobalina mr don bobalina
