Bulldogs will focus on season, Massillon after loss to Boardman

After an 0-7 start to the season, the Spartans continued to play the role of spoilers for former Federal League rivals. A week after stunning Jackson and hurting its playoff chances, the Spartans pretty much ended the playoff hopes of the Bulldogs, who fall to 3-6.

The Spartans were able to hold McKinley standout Eric Glover-Williams in check. Glover-Williams did eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the second time in his career, but was held to 47 yards on 13 carries without a score on the night.

Boardman's Mario Graziani was the night’s leading rusher, gaining 185 yards and scoring three touchdowns on 25 carries. The Spartans outrushed McKinley 319-85.

Lee Hurst II had an efficient passing night for the Bulldogs, going 10-for-13 through the air for 158 yards and one touchdown — a 74-yard pass to Bryce Short. Hurst added one more TD on the ground.
