Dai’Shona Polk made a free throw with time winding down in overtime to give the Golden Eagles a 73-72 win over McKinley at home.

Polk scored a game-high 31 points for GlenOak. She made 12 field goals and was 7-of-12 from the free throw line.

DaVina Shelton, Mikayla Vance, Jade Abdulla and Hayley Smith added 10 points apiece for GlenOak.
Chamera Young was the leading scorer for McKinley with 20 points.
Kierstan Bell added 19 points for the Bulldogs. Destinee Lee also chipped in 12 points for McKinley.

Sophomore Kierstan Bell scored 24 points for McKinley to lead the Bulldogs to their 700th win in program history. It was also the 470th win for head coach Pam Davis. Chamera Young also had 18 points for McKinley. MacKenzie Hance, Abby Butler and Taylor Champagne scored 10 points each for Lake. The Blue Streaks trailed 31-27 at halftime but McKinley outscored Lake 26-9 in the third quarter to take command.

McKinley quickly takes command in a 83-24 Division I girls sectional win over Youngstown East.

CANTON Kierstan Bell poured in 26 points as McKinley opened the postseason Saturday with a convincing 83-24 win over Youngstown East in a Division I sectional semifinal.
The Bulldogs quickly took command and held leads of 33-4 after one quarter and 58-13 at halftime.
Destinee Lee hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. Fourteen McKinley players scored.
The Bulldogs (18-5) will host Akron East in a sectional final Wednesday at 7 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday, but was moved up a day.
